FEDER

Fund European for Development Economic of Regions aims to strengthen economic and social cohesion within the European Union in correcting regional imbalances.
In short, FEDER funds:

Direct aid to investments done companies, mainly small one, in order to create long term employment.
Infrastructures related to research and innovation, telecommunications, environment, energy and transportation.
Financial instruments (venture capital funds, local development funds, etc..) in order to support regional and local development and promote cooperation between cities and regions.

Tower Semiconductor

Tower Semiconductor Ltd. is a pure-play independent specialty wafer foundry established in 1993. The company manufactures integrated circuits (ICs) with geometries ranging from 1.0 to 0.13 micron; it also provides complementary technical services and design support. The company’s technical acumen and its dedication to quality customer service attracts customers from target markets as diverse as consumer electronics, personal computer and office equipment, communications, automotive and airborne, industrial, professional photography and medical products.

SPINTEC

SPINTEC is a Research Laboratory which goal is to bridge fundamental research and advanced technology towards new paradigms / devices in the emerging field of spin electronics.

INESC MN

INESC Microsistemas e Nanotecnologias (INESC MN) is a private, non-profit Reseach and Development institute created in January, 2002 from the former Solid State Technology group of INESC. INESC MN operates a Class 100/10 cleanroom with optical and e-beam lithography allowing nanoscale device fabrication.

IM2NP

Resulting from the merging of two laboratories (formerly L2MP and TECSEN), the Institute is comprised of 270 scientists in physics, chemistry and micro-electronics and engineers or technicians composed its staff. The laboratory has the required expertise for research and education in materials, microelectronics and nanosciences and supports a wide range of programs including modelling, design, architecture, processes, materials and their physico-chemical properties.

SVTC

SVTC provides its novel-silicon development customers access to two state-of-the-art, IP-secure development foundries — in San Jose, California, and Austin, Texas — with a full complement of 200 mm (8-inch) and 300 mm (12-inch) advanced CMOS and MEMS fabrication equipment, designed to speed the development of best-of-class solutions.
